Organic Gardening Progress 10/11 - Week 8

This is my Week 8 since I start tracking my gardening progress on this blog. I didn't take many pictures this week because there were not so many updates.

Your can see my progress week by week here

I see people on Instagram posting their huge crops and here I am have enough for one salad bowl. :)

It looks like I almost get same stuff week after week. My goji berry little bush starts producing little berries but mostly two or three at once. Sometimes birds would get it before me.

This was my son's crop from a bean plant he planted. I added these beans to my veggie soup.
Finally I can see some baby zucchini on my plant

Zinnias are always so cheerful!

Hopefully next week will be more interesting. Happy Gardening!

Organic Gardening Progress 10/4 - Week 7

We finally have such a beautiful weather here in Texas.

This is my Week 7 since I start tracking my gardening progress on this blog.

Your can see my progress week by week here

I read about Aquaponic systems here, so I decided to use water from my son's little pond to water my plants at least once a week.
Plus I keep adding scraps to my compost. Banana peels and coffee grounds go directly to the soil, as well as cooked chicken bones (I use hummer so they decompose faster).

Here are some photos and update for this week:

First lemon, more of sprouts, radish and greens for salad, mint and rose petals and hips for tea

Tomatoes keep forming, I guess soon I finally will have bunch of red tomatoes. :)

Cucumber has first flower

Okra is about to bloom. This is my first time to grow okra. I've never even see how it grows before. :)

Broccoli

Papaya has fruit now!

Finally female flowers on zucchini!

Agggg we already deleted this wasp nest but they are creating a new one again.
Happy Gardening!
